With green ways and cycle paths around the river, the banks of the Allier offer plenty of beautiful scenery near Lake Allier. Enjoy the cafés and sporting facilities (racecourse, golf course, football and rugby terrain, multisportscentre, area for bicycles and scooters…) – there is so much to do! All of this is accessible via the greenway (Via Allier), which was recently created and is exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists.
During your excursion, you can also stop along the pontoons to take some time to relax in this truly beautiful area.
Directly accessible from the campsite, the greenway will lead you to Vichy, as well as to 3 cycle loops, from 6 to 12 km.
Borrow the route maps for each of the 3 loops and enjoy the amazing viewpoints of the Allier river and its flora and fauna. All along the Allier, you’ll discover the riches of its heritage, as well as its wildlife.
For the whole day or just a few hours, these routes are accessible for everyone and are well-maintained for your comfort (with picnic tables and other outdoor furniture).
The Allier is considered as one of the last wild waterways of Europe. Let yourself be surprised by the wonders it has to offer.
